HIRAM, OH – March 25, 2026 - The Terriers fell in an eventful midweek battle against the Bulldogs on Wednesday evening in Price Gymnasium in three sets: 25-19, 25-20, 25-22.Â
The Terriers battled back-and-forth in the first and second sets, but mid-set runs by Adrian put Hiram in a hole in both sets, as the team wasn't able to recover. The Bulldogs went on a 5-2 run in the first and 6-0 run in the second to help take the two-set lead.
The third set was a different story, with the Terriers pulling together a 17-14 lead, but the Bulldogs crept back and pushed their hardest at the end to give them that 25-22 edge in the third and final set.Â
First-year
Emilio Largaespada started in the first set in Wednesday night's match, finishing the evening with three kills and a block.
Harry Soriano led the team in digs with 12 and
Derek Chiang led the team with 12 kills.Â
The Terriers return to action on Saturday afternoon as they host the Thiel College Tomcats for Senior Day, when they will celebrate their four seniors and their Hiram careers at 1 p.m. in Price Gymnasium. Â
