Hiram Drops Pair To Tough Competition On Friday

Marlow Contributes In Both Games, Stays Hot At Plate

CLERMONT, Florida - March 12, 2026 – Hiram lost both of its games on Friday, 10-2 to Wesleyan and 11-1 to Calvin, despite a two-RBI day from Hannah Marlow and a number of notable firsts for the team's newcomers on Day.5 of The Spring Games.

Despite the losses, Hiram still has two more games to go in the six-day, 10-game trip. The team also took on a Wesleyan team that improved to 5-1 and a Calvin team that improved to 7-3, a pair of tough opponents that figure to be in the mix for NCAA Tournament berths.

Game 1 – Recap

Hiram switched things up for its first matchup of the afternoon, with Yasmine Clark starting in the circle and pitching the first three innings, only allowing two earned runs to continue her solid start to the season. Clark has allowed two-or-fewer earned tuns in three of her four starts this season.

Marlow doubled down the left-field line to bring Kayla Prigge home before Tristen Gonzalez scored on a wild pitch to account for Hiram's two runs in the sixth inning.

Game 2 – Recap

Another two hits for Megan Moser pushed her to nine hits on the season, which leads the Hiram roster, with Marlow close behind with seven. Marlow added to her total with an RBI single to left field to score Moser and account for the team's lone run in the second inning.

Despite the loss, two Terriers logged their first career hits in the game, with ZeAnna Cyrus singling up the middle and Gonzalez singling to the shortstop.

What's Next

Hiram will play their final pair of games against the University of Wisconsin La Crosse at 12:15 a.m. and Ramapo at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Clermont, FL.
