HIRAM, Ohio – March 10, 2026 – Despite a fierce run in the third set, Hiram men's volleyball dropped its Tuesday evening clash against Grove City in three sets: 25-21, 25-12, 25-19.
The Terriers opened up the 2025 PAC semifinal rematch with the Wolverines in back-and-forth fashion. The first set saw ten ties between the two teams, as neither team led by more than 3 points until the Wolverines used a 4-1 run to close the set. Cullen Sivak recorded a team-high five kills while Darren Chiang recorded nine assists in the opening set.
The Terriers came to life in the third set of the match. As Hiram was down 15-10, Colin Brooks and Sivak fueled a 7-1 run to go on top, 17-16. Both seniors recorded two kills and Brooks chipped in on a block assist. Hiram recorded 10 kills in the final set, but the Wolverines ultimately got the last word and secured the sweep.
Sivak paced the Terriers attacking efforts with 10 kills and five digs, while Kekoa Tani had seven kills and seven digs. Chiang directed the offense with 23 assists and a service ace.
Hiram will look to bounce back in conference play next week as they travel to Pittsburgh, PA to take on the Cougars of Chatham University on Wednesday, March 18 at 7 p.m. inside of the Athletic and Fitness Center.
