HIRAM, Ohio – February 14, 2026 – Hiram College men's basketball dropped its final road matchup of the season to Saint Vincent College. The PAC South Division-leading Bearcats took down the Terriers, 86-69, in a dominating second-half inside of Robert S. Carey Center.
The Terriers opened the game neck-and-neck with the Bearcats, as senior Brock Makrancy scored the team's first 7 points of the night. Saint Vincent took advantage of back-to-back 3-pointers and got out to their largest first-half lead, 30-21. Hiram found themselves right back in the game as they scored 7 unanswered points on a Collin Jones three-pointer and layup. Despite the strong play of Saint Vincent, Hiram went into halftime with a 38-36 lead.
Jones scored a team-high 20 points on the night with 18 of them came in the first half. Jones has continued his scoring terror, as he has scored 20+ points in three of the Terriers last five games.
Saint Vincent showed why it currently sits with the best record in PAC play, as the Bearcats outscored the Terriers 50-31 in the second half. The home team came out on fire, as it started the second half on a 17-4 run. A bright spot for the Terriers was junior Tristan Martin-Marshall, who recorded 9 points off the bench in the second half. Among other stats leaders were Makrancy with 9 points and eight rebounds, and Jack Agema with 7 points and three steals.
The Terriers return home on Wednesday night, when they host Geneva College. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. inside of Price Gymnasium in Hiram, OH.
