Men's Soccer Celebrates Seniors In Dominating Fashion

Hiram Records Season-High 33 Shots

HIRAM, Ohio – October 10, 2026 – Hiram College men's soccer celebrated its 13 seniors on Saturday afternoon at Henry Field, earning a commanding 5-0 victory over Saint Francis on Senior Day.

The Terriers honored a talented senior class before the game, adding another lasting memory to their final season at Hiram.

This year's senior class included Tyler Jurgensen, Taeven Genovese, Jayden Julian, Simon Schonfeld, Liam O'Brien, Ryan Graber, Blake Kubasak, Cooper Williams, Jimmy Zeilmann, Colin Casey, Gable Smith, Kevin Byrne and Chance McGinnis. Each player was recognized individually during the pregame ceremony, and every healthy member of the team saw action.

The game started in fitting fashion, with three seniors connecting for Hiram's opening goal. Gable Smith scored his first career goal in the sixth minute, with Jayden Julian and Colin Casey picking up the assists to give the Terriers an early 1-0 lead.

The score remained 1-0 until Ethan Garner delivered a perfect corner kick to Carmine Boscarello, who found the back of the net to extend Hiram's lead. Boscarello broke the double-digit goal barrier as he earned his tenth goal of the season.

The Terrier's success on corner kicks continued early in the second half. Isaac Rogenthien set up senior Jayden Julian, who scored to put Hiram ahead 3-0.

Hiram added two more goals late in the game. Brayden Gambatese scored his first career goal after following up on a blocked shot, making it 4-0. Nine minutes later, in the 76th minute, Matthew Cedarbloom and Colin Casey connected on a give-and-go, with Cedarbloom finishing the play for the fifth and final goal.

The Terriers finished with a season-high 33 shots, with 18 different student-athletes recording at least one shot. Julian led Hiram with five shots, including three on target, while Smith added four shots.

Tyler Jurgensen played all 90 minutes in goal, stopping both shots on target from the Red Wolves to help Hiram secure the shutout.

Hiram's Senior Day victory gave the Terriers a memorable way to celebrate the 13 seniors and their contributions to the program.

Hiram will continue play when it travels to top-rank PAC opponent Grove City on Wednesday at Don Lyle Field.
