HIRAM, Ohio – January 5, 2026 – Hiram Sports Information awarded Terrier of the Week honors to both Sarah Seaman (women's basketball) and DJ Niles (men's basketball) to open the 2026 calendar year, with both student-athletes coming off career scoring performances this past week.

The duo has spent a combined five seasons in the blue and red, with Seaman being a senior and team captain for the women's team and Niles taking on a starting role in his third season as a junior.

Seaman posted her two highest point totals of the season this past week, scoring a career-high 24 points in a loss to Penn State Behrend on Wednesday before tallying 23 points in a win over Heidelberg on Saturday. Seaman recorded five 3-pointers, two blocks and two steals during that span, and also now has a career-long streak of three straight 20-point performances. For the season, Seaman has scored in double-figures in 10 of 11 games.

Niles had a team-high 15 points in a win over Adrian on Wednesday and a career-high (and team-high) 18 points in a loss to Penn State Behrend on Saturday this past week. The junior forward also had 18 rebounds during that span – which included a career-high 12 rebounds against PSB – along with three blocks and two steals. For the season, Niles ranks second on the Terriers roster with 9.8 PPG and leads the team with 5.0 RPG and 15 blocks.

Both Terriers basketball teams will return to PAC play at Geneva on Wednesday; the women's team will have a 5:30 p.m. tip-off before the men take the court shortly after the conclusion of the first game in Beaver Falls, PA.
