HIRAM, Ohio – January 19, 2026 – Joe Krosky and Grace Basham of Hiram swimming have both earned Terrier of the Week honors, as announced by the Hiram Sports Information department. This comes after impressive performances by both student-athletes on Saturday afternoon, when they hosted Chatham and Bluffton at Alumni Memorial Pool and combined for three victories.
For Krosky, he had an outstanding day in the pool, winning three individual events in an impressive day. Krosky first started out his day with the 200-meter medley relay, where he helped the team finish in third place in his only relay of the day. Krosky's individual performance first started with the 800-meter freestyle, where he dominated, winning with a time of 10:11.08. The junior from Brecksville, OH was not done though, as he later won the 100-meter butterfly (1:16.01) and the 200-meter IM (2:33.50). Krosky and the team will look to carry their momentum into their next meet, when they host Heidelberg on Friday at 5 p.m.
For Basham, it was a senior day to remember, as she made a strong statement in her second-to-last home event, finishing third in the 200-meter freestyle (2:47.04). The senior from Hubbard, OH also swam the 400-meter freestyle (6:08.73) and was a member of the 200-meter medley relay team that finished with a time of 2:35.40. The senior will look to continue this impressive form in Hiram's next meet on Friday, when they will also welcome Heidelberg to the Hiram College campus.
