HIRAM, Ohio - January 21, 2026 – Hiram showed a balance scoring ability in a hard-fought game against Allegheny College, but ultimately fell short, 67-52, inside of James H. Mullen Jr. Arena.
The Terriers had an impressive 12 student-athletes get into the scoring column. Senior Brock Makrancy led the Terriers in scoring with 9 points as he shot 50% from beyond the arc. Six additional players added 5 or more points, demonstrating their balanced scoring efforts. Furthermore, the Terrier's bench outscored the Gators by 29 points.
Hiram opened up the first half by shooting only 15.4% from three, but flipped the switch by shooting 44.4% in the second half. Their hot three-point shooting in the second half ultimately kept them in the game as they only lost the second half by 1 point (34-35).
Sophomore Kyle Heaton provided a spark off the bench as he led the team in rebounds (six) and went 2-2 from the field with 5 points.
Hiram continues conference play this Saturday, when they host the Chatham Cougars inside of Price Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
