NEW WILMINGTON, Pennsylvania - January 14, 2026 - Despite outscoring the opposition by 5 points in the second half, the first half shooting struggles proved to be too much to overcome as the Hiram men's basketball team dropped a conference matchup against the Westminster Titians, 68-54, on Wednesday evening inside of Buzz Ridl Gymnasium.
The Terriers shot 18.5% from the field in the first half and would flip that into shooting 53.3% in the second half. Sophomore Colin Jones led the Terriers with 13 points and four rebounds. Jones tied a season-high with two 3-pointers and a 50% clip overall from behind the arc.
As the Terriers won the second half, junior Jack Agema provided a spark off the bench, as he knocked down back-to-back three-pointers and then followed that up with a steal into a transition layup.
Among the stat leaders were Josh Martin, who shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, as well as DJ Niles with three blocks and three assists.
The Terriers are back in action on Saturday, when they host Washington and Jefferson in a PAC matchup. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
