Terriers Hang Tough In Scoreless Battle With Washington And Jefferson

Ufholz, Terrier Defense Record 4th Consecutive Clean Sheet

WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania – September 27, 2025- The Hiram men's soccer put on a defensive show on Saturday afternoon at Alexandre Stadium on the campus of Washington and Jefferson College, recording their fifth clean sheet on the season and their fourth consecutive clean sheet.

It was a defensively dominated game for both teams, as the Terriers backline and Presidents backline only allowed 18 shots combined and five shots on goal combined for both teams.

Freshman Derek Ufholz earned his fourth clean sheet of the season, as his outstanding play continued, earning three saves on the afternoon. Ufholz has only allowed one goal in six games played since he came into the starting rotation.

On the offensive side, Alex Lineen led the Terriers with three total shots and managed to get one shot on goal, as his attack on the offensive end has continued to be stellar. Carmine Boscarello also added three shots to his tally and Reginal Johnson recorded a shot on goal as well.

Hiram now moves to 1-0-1 in PAC play, as the tie with W&J will keep them in great position in the PAC.

Hiram will be back in action on Wednesday, when they travel to New Wilmington, PA to face Westminster College for their third match in PAC play.
