OBERLIN, Ohio – April 23, 2025 – Hiram lost to Oberlin on Wednesday afternoon at Dick Bailey Field, 28-3.
Gray Perry highlighted the game for the Terriers, scoring his second career goal and logging two ground balls and one caused turnover. The senior from Silver Lake, OH also scored against La Roche in the 2023 season.
Also registering goals were
Jack Cook in the first quarter and
Ethan Mayer in the fourth quarter; Mayer added onto his team-high 24 goals and 31 points with the final goal by either team in the game.
Oberlin jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the first quarter and scored all nine goals in the second quarter to take a commanding advantage into the intermission. Hiram's defense stepped up throughout the second half, with just a 3-1 margin in the fourth quarter alone.
Hiram will return to the field for its season finale on Friday, when it travels to Wooster, OH for a conference matchup against the Fighting Scots at 3 p.m.
