BETHANY, West Virginia - March 5, 2025 - Hiram started the first and second halves on a high note, but couldn't hang on in a 13-5 loss to Bethany on Wednesday evening at Bison Stadium.

The Terriers and Bison were even after the first quarter, 2-2, and Hiram outscored the opposition in the third quarter, 2-1. Those periods had four different goal scorers, including Tyler Wolke, Trevor Nordstrom, Jack Cook and Aaron Gardner. Cook officially had the first goal of his collegiate career, while Wolke later tacked on his second goal to give him his first career multi-goal game.

Bethany won the game thanks to a pair of five-goal bursts in the second and fourth quarters, with Tyler Britton recording five goals and three assists for the home team. Ethyn Taylor also had three goals and one assists in the matchup between future PAC opponents.

Hiram drew first blood on a goal by Gardner and eventually reclaimed a 2-1 lead on a score from Wolke. Bethany answered with three straight man-up goals and then added another three goals to take a 7-2 lead into the half.

The Terriers again came out firing in the third quarter, with Nordstrom scoring a man-up goal and Cook registering a man-down goal to make it a 7-4 game.

Britton then took over for the Bison, as he scored or assisted on each of the five goals to give his team a 12-4 advantage. Wolke answered with his second goal, but the game was in its closing stages at that point.

Hiram will take on another PAC opponent on Saturday, when it travels to Meadville, PA for a road battle with Allegheny at 1 p.m. from Frank B. Fuhrer Field.
