Terriers Find Rhythm In 2nd Half Against No. 19 Denison

Hiram Drops Conference Affair To One Of Nation's Top Teams

HIRAM, Ohio – March 30, 2025 – Hiram took on the No. 19 team in all of Division III on Sunday afternoon, a challenging opportunity for the program to show what it could do against a national championship contender.

The Terriers held their opposition to just three goals in the third quarter before scoring two goals of their own in the fourth quarter of a 23-3 loss to Denison at Henry Field. Ethan Mayer scored twice and Trevor Nordstrom dished out a nice assist to Bricen Jones to highlight the NCAC affair.

Denison took control by scoring 16 of the first 17 goals in the game, a span that included Mayer's first goal in the second quarter. The senior received a pass from Ethan Bitong before finding the back of the net – Bitong registered his fourth career assist on the play.

Hiram then opened the scoring in the fourth quarter, when Nordstrom found Jones in front of the net for a well-timed play and a second goal. Mayer later scored again to cap off the game; the senior now has multiple goals in six of his 10 games played this season.

The Big Red scored the final two goals to seal the victory.

The Terriers will next celebrate Senior Night on Wednesday, when they host Alfred State at 5 p.m. from Henry Field in Hiram, Ohio.
