GRANVILLE, Ohio - February 13, 2025 - Both Hiram swimming teams began their four-day journey at the NCAC Championships on Wednesday evening, an abbreviated day with just one night session for the 17 different teams competing between the men's and women's programs in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

The men's team is currently tied for sixth in the championship standings, while the women's team ranks eighth.

Men's Recap

The Terriers had one of their best starts to a conference championship over the last decade, as they tied Ohio Wesleyan and ranked ahead of both Wittenberg and DePauw with 104 points in the session.

In the 200-yard medley relay, the team of Dayne Sauter, Jon Hybil, Ethan O'Malley and David Slovenkay placed eighth with a time of 1:38.67. A few events later, Hiram had its best result of the day in the 800-yard freestyle relay; the group of Sauter, Slovenkay, Hybil and Owen Pastorius landed sixth (7:09.33) and beat a talented OWU team (7:10.53) in the process.

With 104 points, Hiram is within striking distance of Wooster (110 points) for a top-five spot in the conference.
