ADRIAN, Michigan – December 13, 2025 – Hiram closed out the 2025 calendar year on Saturday afternoon, dropping an 8–0 decision to No. 2 Adrian in the second game of the weekend road series at Arrington Ice Arena.
Despite the scoreline, goalie
Mark Paton turned in a strong performance under heavy pressure, making a career-high 61 saves on 69 shots while putting in a full 60 minutes on the ice. Paton recorded at least 19 saves in each period and continuously denied any close-call shots to keep the Terriers competitive through extended defensive stretches.
Defensively, Hiram blocked 21 shots from the Bulldogs. Leading the pack was
Carter Dwornikiewicz with four blocks,
Neil Pretorius adding three blocks and
Cole Mitchell,
Ken Bagley, and
Noah Proulx each contributing multiple blocks. The Terriers also battled in the faceoff circle, with Dwornikiewicz,

The Terriers will next return to action in the new year with a road match against the Chatham Cougars on January 9 at 4 p.m.
