HIRAM, Ohio - December 10, 2025 -Â The Hiram men's basketball team shot 50% from the field and got big contributions all around, but ultimately lost to Case Western Reserve on Wednesday evening at Price Gymnasium, 92-74.
The Terriers went 31-62 from the field for the entire game, as senior Brock Makrancy and junior Jack Agema led the way with 15 points and 14 points respectively. The duo played a huge part in that efficiency, as they combined for 13-25 (52%) from the field.
The Spartans opened the game firing from all cylinders as they shot 12-19 from beyond the arc in the first half, giving them a 53-32 edge going into halftime.
The second half started with back-and-forth scoring, until Makrancy and Agema fueled a 16-6 run for the Terriers to cut the lead nearly in half. The duo combined for 14 of those points.
Hiram would go on to outscore Case Western by 3 points in the second half, but the Spartans' shooting performance in the first half proved to be too much to overcome.
Drovinsky Ulysse (10 points) and Liam Gopalakrishna (12 points) also provided double-digit scoring for the Terriers. Ulysses was the team leader in rebounds and assists with six apiece.
Hiram will return to action on Wednesday, December 17, when it hosts Heidelberg for a non-conference showdown inside of Price Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m.
