Hiram Seniors Lead Offense In Loss At Pitt-Greensburg

Terriers Drop Non-Conference Affair

GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania – November 22, 2025 – Hiram men's basketball traveled to Pitt-Greensburg for a Saturday afternoon matchup, as the Terriers fell in a hard-fought effort to the host Bobcats, 97-71.

The Terriers were led by some impressive scoring spurts and they fought back to try and get their fourth win of the season, but the offensive firepower of the Panthers – particularly in the second half – was too strong, as the Terriers fell for their first loss of the season.

Hiram was led in scoring by the impressive play of Avery Scott, as Scott finished with 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds on the afternoon. Hiram was also led by the play of Dushawn Hill, who dropped 15 points. The experienced play of the seniors proved to be the primary offense, while first-year Jack Agema also had a career-high 10 points off the bench.

The Terriers kept pace with the Bobcats throughout the first half, which featured 94 combined points between the two teams. Hiram shot 66% from the field during that span, although the opposition went a perfect 12-12 from the free-throw line.

Pitt-Greensburg pulled away in the second half, outscoring Hiram by 20 points and having seven different student-athletes record at least 8 points. Scott continued his career-best game, but the effort wasn't enough in the non-conference clash.

Hiram men's basketball will be back in action on Tuesday, when they travel to Berea, Ohio for a match with Baldwin Wallace University set for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
