Terriers Clobber Golden Tornadoes On Road

Hiram Takes Care Of Business To Begin New Week

BEAVER FALLS, Pennsylvania - October 4, 2025 – Hiram soared to a 3-0 conference sweep over the Golden Tornadoes on the road on Wednesday evening, cruising past Geneva to improve to 6-1 in PAC play: 25-8, 25-17, 25-16.

The win pushes the Terriers to 14-2 overall, which remains the best in the PAC, while also keeping their first place positioning in the PAC North Division (tied with Thiel). Geneva dropped to 1-6 in conference play.

The Terriers dominated Geneva in the first set, putting up 0 attack errors and only allowing 8 points on the board from the Golden Tornadoes. Hiram's .480 hitting percentage in the set led to a 25-8 finish, which was one of the team's most dominant sets of the campaign.

Hiram continued to hold its ground defensively over the final two sets, holding Geneva to an overall attack percentage of .011, with 17 attack errors and only 18 kills. Hiram finished with 38 kills of its own.

On the individual leaderboard, Hiram's Maggie Riley had a team-high 11 kills, while Sofia Smotek (10 kills) and Riley France (seven kills) did the remainder of the damage. Kelly Hoffman kept things running with 31 assists and Megan Chiang had a match-high 18 digs.

Next up, the Terriers return home to take on Franciscan University in Price Gymnasium on Saturday at 12 p.m.
