HIRAM, Ohio - October 4, 2025 - Hiram lost to one of the best teams in the PAC on Saturday afternoon as part of the Homecoming festivities, falling to Washington & Jefferson by a score of 70-13.Â
Â
Highlighting the game was a 53-yard touchdown pass from Sean Tejeda to Jordan Stapleton in the second quarter, as well as an 8-yard touchdown run from Will Rumple in the fourth quarter. Stapleton finished with a game-high 104 receiving yards, while Kade Scott and Kole Tarary each had eight tackles on the defensive end.
Â
It was a game of opportunity, as the Terriers had three fumble recoveries and an interception to find themselves in opposing territory throughout the contest. Those takeaways did lead to Rumple's TD in the fourth quarter and electrified the home crowd against a team that had just beaten No. 18 Grove City the prior week.
Â
Unfortunately for the home team, the firepower of the Presidents proved to be too much, as W&J scored 56 consecutive points to take firm control of the PAC matchup.
Â
Hiram will take next week off before returning to the field on Saturday, October 18 for a conference game at Bethany.
