WARREN, Ohio – October 14, 2025 – Hiram men's golf improved its cumulative score by four strokes on Tuesday, while two of the women's golfers lowered their individual scores as part of a successful day to close out the PAC Fall Championships at the Avalon Golf Club.
The men finished 10
th for the two-day championship event, while the women had three finishers on the individual leaderboard.
Men's Recap
When comparing round one to round two,
Michael Clark (85 to 83),
Kevin Ina (85 to 83),
Tripp Melvin (86 to 82) and
Noah Burke (87 to 85) all improved their scores by multiple strokes. It was a huge step for the group and moved Hiram within striking distance of ninth place, which was held by Geneva.
Ian Muka was steady, too, shooting an 84 on day two after having a team-best score of 80 on day one. Muka tied for 28
th among the 50 individual golfers in the conference.
In terms of the overall standings, the Terriers fell just one stroke behind the Golden Tornadoes for that ninth spot. Allegheny ended up winning the event, with Washington & Jefferson and Grove City trailing closely behind.
Women's Recap
On the women's side, first-year
Kayla Weisenberger closed in on a top-40 spot in the overall field by shooting a 108 over her final 18 holes. With a 114 in the first round, Weisenberger's cumulative score of 222 was better than multiple notable student-athletes from Thiel, Waynesburg, Franciscan, Saint Vincent, Bethany and Geneva.
Ace Ades also displayed some consistency, going from a 119 to a 118 in her second go-around at the Avalon course.
Alex Picoult (152) capped off the event to wrap up a memorable collegiate debut, too.
What's Next
The men's team will return to action on Sunday for the BW Invitational, which is a two-day event split between Grey Hawk Golf Club (LaGrange, OH) and Pine Hills Golf Club (Hinckley, OH).
