BOARDMAN, Ohio - April 25, 2026 - Hiram men's and women's golf wrapped up the season at the PAC Championships throughout Friday and Saturday at Mill Creek Golf Course, with the men ranking ninth in the final standings and Kayla Weisenberger representing the women well on the individual leaderboard.

The event was a continuation of the fall championships, which saw the Terriers men's team rank 10th in the field before the team made the jump in the standings this weekend. The women's team didn't qualify for the team scoring. Among the standout individual performances was sophomore Ian Muka, who was named Honorable Mention All-PAC following the tournament.

Hiram showed improvement throughout the spring season and put everything together in the final round on Saturday, as the team tied for the sixth-best cumulative score in the field (+40) over the final 18 holes. The strong round was tied with Grove City and better than Thiel, Waynesburg and Geneva. As a result, Hiram passed the Golden Tornadoes in the four-round team standings.

Muka spearheaded the charge, shooting a 74 on Friday (+4) and a 75 on Saturday (+5). The senior tied for 16th out of 36th golfers among individuals, and had one of the lowest scores when only taking the final two rounds of the event into account. The sophomore had three birdies between round three and four, two of which came on the back-nine on Friday.

Michael Clark, Kevin Ina and Tripp Melvin found themselves next to each other on the leaderboard, as they placed 30th, 31st and 32nd respectively. Clark and Ina posted their best scores of the tournament on Saturday (79 and 82), while Melvin posted his second-best score in the last round (84).

The event marked a huge step forward for the Terriers, who were competing in their sixth round of golf over the last 13 days. The team's collective score of 320 on Saturday was one of their best team performances throughout all of 2025-26.

On the women's side, Weisenberger was Hiram's lone entrant and shot a 113 on Friday and 105 on Saturday. Not only was her fourth round score her best of the event, but it also beat seven different golfers from the talented field.

The Terriers will now set their sights on 2026-27, with most of the roster set to return to competition besides Ina, who will be graduating this spring.
