Hiram Golf Opens Play At PAC Fall Championship

Terriers Men Rank 10th, Women Feature 3 Golfers On Opening Day Of Competition

WARREN, Ohio - October 13, 2025 - Hiram opened competition at the PAC Fall Championships on Monday morning, as both the men and women competed at the two-round event from Avalon Lakes Golf Club.

Through 18 holes, the men rank 10th in the field and the women have three individual student-athletes on the PAC leaderboard.

Men's Recap

The Terriers' Ian Muka tied for 22nd on the individual leaderboard with a team-best mark of 80 to open the week. It continues a strong trend for Muka in terms of starting on a high note; the sophomore from Mount Vernon, OH also shot a team-best 77 in the opening round in the team's most recent event in Meadville, PA.

Junior Michael Clark and senior Kevin Ina had the next-lowest scores on the roster, with both student-athletes shooting an 85 at the par-72 course. As the two veterans on the roster, Clark and Ina will be counted on heavily in the final stretch of the event.

Tripp Melvin (86) and Noah Burke (87) rounded out the day for the Terriers.

Women's Recap

Hiram women's golf also competed Monday morning at the Avalon Lakes Golf & Country Club, which marked the team's first competition of the 2025-26 campaign. The team put up a great effort, with a few individual performances helping the Terriers.

Freshman Kayla Weisenberger led the way (114, T-41st), along with recording her first collegiate par on the first hole, where she shot a 4. Also competing for the Terriers were sophomore Ace Ades (119) and junior Alex Picoult (148), who both also made their collegiate debuts at the event.

What's Next

Both teams will pick up with round two on Tuesday; Hiram will tee off as early as 9:40 a.m. in Warren, OH.
