Hiram Scores Twice In Final 10 Minutes At Allegheny

Terriers Gain Momentum Despite Road Loss

MEADVILLE, Pennsylvania - October 11, 2025 - Hiram played with tenacity through the 90th minute, but a late surge of offense wasn't enough in a 3-2 loss to Allegheny on Saturday afternoon at the Grass Field in Meadville, PA.

Despite trailing 3-0 in the 70th minute, the Terriers got goals from Carmine Boscarello (assisted by Jimmy Zeilmann) in the 81st minute and Alex Lineen (assisted by Boscarello) in the 90th minute to close the gap before the final whistle ultimately blew in a hard-fought defeat. It marked Boscarello's first career game with at least one goal and one assist, while Lineen added to his team-high total of six goals for the fall campaign.

Lineen and Boscarello finished with seven combined shot attempts, two of which were on target. Liam O'Brien, Garrett Riley and Erik Rangel Negrete also had shots on goal, but the early deficit proved to be too much to overcome.

Allegheny scored quickly with a goal from Will Gruca in the 7th minute, but the Terriers held firm for the remainder of the first half to keep it a one-goal hole.

Both teams made the most of their opportunities in the second half, with all four shots on target being converted into goals during that span. The Gators scored in the 52nd and 70th minutes before Hiram pieced together its comeback over the final 10 minutes.

The final 33 seconds of the game didn't yield a final chance for the Terriers, who suffered the loss but gained full momentum to finish off the weekend.

Hiram will look to carry those positive steps into its next match on Tuesday at Bethany; kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Hoag Field.
