HIRAM, Ohio – July 9, 2024 – Hiram College and its athletic department have made significant upgrades to its facilities over the past academic year in a continued effort to support 23 varsity teams at a high level. That momentum will continue into 2024-25, with more plans already in place for an improved student-athlete experience.
In 2023-24, Hiram built a hydrotherapy room that holds two cold tubs and a warm whirlpool to aid student-athlete recovery and overall performance. Shortly thereafter, the school's weight room underwent renovations that included new rubber flooring, repainted walls/pillars, new equipment and Hiram Athletics branding.
Other additions included an indoor golf facility, which has virtual golf capabilities for the men's and women's teams to use during the winter. The Coleman Center lobby has a new interactive monitor for fans to experience on their visits to campus, while the Henry Field press box has a new staircase for student staff and local media.

The next step has already started, with new roofing built over Price Gymnasium and the flat roof that connects the facility to its second-floor locker room. The project ran from May to July earlier this summer.

Slated to start in the coming weeks are a pair of press box projects for both Fishel Field (baseball) and Herndon Field (softball). Both facilities currently have a seating area for student staff behind home plate, which will now be upgraded to help with scoring, live stream video, gameday music and PA announcements, while protecting workers/media from any inclement weather.
Hiram has also begun renovating its locker rooms for women's basketball, women's wrestling, STUNT, women's volleyball and women's swimming & diving. This will include repainted walls, Hiram Terriers branding and new lockers.

The school's weight room is also in the process of putting together an All-American wall, which will commemorate over 100Â student-athletes who earned All-American status during their careers as Terriers. Other future projects include the sanding of the Price Gymnasium hardwood and the addition of third-floor locker rooms.
Hiram Athletics would like to thank its donors, both through the Hollinger Fund and all other fundraising, for their continued support of a campus that has emerged both academically and athletically moving into 2024-25.
