OLIVET, Michigan - March 8, 2024 - Hiram men's volleyball won in four sets in its second matchup with the University of Olivet this season: 24-26, 25-12, 25-20, 25-23.

With the win, the Terriers improved to 11-9 overall and remain 2-1 in conference play, with a chance to improve upon their non-conference record this weekend.

Jackson Deubner had a team-high 13 kills, with
Connor Tilton (11),
Garrett Scheidegger (eight)Â and
Colin Brooks (eight) not far behind him.
Matthew Albano had 38 assists while also leading the team in digs (12), while Olivet was spearheaded by Quinn Dickerson, who had 13 kills.

The Terriers fell behind and lost late in the first set, 26-24, but found a nice rhythm in the sets that followed, as they did not trail for the next two sets. Hiram was particularly dominant in the second set, when it had 14 kills, one attack error and a hitting percentage of .565.

Olivet kept the game close in the fourth set, with both teams exchanging four-to-five point rallies. Hiram pulled away in the end thanks to a 5-0 run to end the match, with four of those points coming on the serve of Tilton.

The Terriers will stay in Michigan this weekend as they will face St. Norbert College and Adrian College in the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center in Adrian, MI; play is set to begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
