Hiram Has Competitive Duals With Penn State Behrend, Pitt-Bradford

Terriers Compete In First 2 Duals Of 2024-25 Campaign

ERIE, Pennsylvania – November 23, 2024 – The Hiram men's wrestling team dropped both of its duals as part of a tri-meet on the campus of Penn State Behrend. The Terriers lost to the host Lions (36-9) before dropping a tight dual to Pitt-Bradford (23-20).

The Terriers picked up three wins by decision in the opening dual against Penn State Behrend, beginning with Lewis Deloach's win by decision over Jashad Bumbers (3-0). The freshman would later lose to Pitt-Bradford's  Jacob Rodgers by major decision (14-5), but officially had the third win of his collegiate career in the books.

Will Brodbeck also scored his team a trio of points thanks to a win by decision against PSB's Isaac Meyers (9-7). Kaelon Lawson-West followed suit with a win by decision over Colton Minerva (9-4), but the Lions would win the remaining bouts to pull off a 36-9 victory to start the evening.

Freshman Jackson Bowers got his team on the board in the second dual of the evening, winning by technical fall against Pitt-Bradford's Mamady Treore (16-0). Lawson-West then picked up his second win of the evening against Raymond Worsen (decision, 6-3), giving him a team-high total of seven victories this season.

Sophomore Jaden Bell picked up Hiram's last win of the tri-match, beating the Panthers' Alec Kapacs by fall (0:38). All four of Bell's career wins have come in 2024-25.

Hiram will return to the mats on Thursday, Dec. 5 for a dual with Thiel at 7 p.m. in Greenville, PA.
