CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana - January 13, 2024 - Hiram fell short on the road to Wabash, 89-50, on Saturday afternoon at Chadwick Court.
Junior guard
Trent Jakacki scored a team-high 12 points and contributed on the defensive end with 4 steals and 1 block.
Mitchell Wiechecki also scored in double-figures (10), while
Ivan Yang crashed the boards for another 11 rebounds.
Hiram also had a nice contribution from junior
James Moore, as he made his team debut off the bench. Moore finished with 10 points, while shooting 3-of-6 from the field in 17 minutes.
Wabash was led by sophomore Rich Brooks and senior Sam Comer, who both finished with 18 points.
The Little Giants were able to take control of the game offensively, scoring 46 points in the paint and 19 points on fast breaks. Hiram scored more points off turnovers than its opposition in the conference affair, 14-12.
The Terriers will face Wittenberg University next for a conference matchup at home on Wednesday at 7 p.m. inside Price Gymnasium.
