CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana - March 25, 2023 - Hiram matched Wabash, 6-6, in the second half of a 21-7 loss on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers fell behind early, 10-0 in the first quarter and 15-1 at the end of the first half, but fought hard and tied their opposition over the final 30 minutes of the game.
Noah Pilgram had his fourth straight multi-goal game with 3 goals to lead all Terriers players. Ambrose Colliluori was right behind his teammate with 2 goals, which was his fifth straight multi-goal performance.
Trevor Nordstrom and Trevor Flugum rounded out the team's offensive production with a goal apiece. Pilgram also had team-highs in ground balls (8) and caused turnovers (4).
Hiram fought through adversity after trailing 15-1 at halftime; Flugum, Colliluori and Pilgram each scored a goal in the third quarter to triple the team's goals from the first half. The balance of the offense would continue into the fourth quarter, with Pilgram, Colliluori and Nordstrom alternating scores to finish off a competitive second half.
The Terriers will look for their first conference win of the season when they visit Oberlin next Saturday at 4 p.m.
