Freshman Rubin Records Career-High in Saves In Loss To Wooster

Terriers Keep Within Striking Distance In Road NCAC Matchup

Wooster,Ohio - October 4,2023 - The Hiram men's soccer team lost to The College of Wooster on Wednesday evening at John P. Papp Stadium, with the final score being 2-0.

Freshman goalkeeper Sean Rubin managed to halt the pressure that was brought on by Wooster, as he walked away with 8 saves on the day, which marks a new career-high.

Wooster managed to get out early in the game, as Zach Napora scored in the 8th minute of the game. Hiram was able to keep pressure on Wooster as Matt Callan, Blake Kubasak and Diego Calixto all were able to get shots off in the first half with Calixto and Callan both taking shots on goal. 

Wooster closed out the game in the second half with a goal by Luca Napora. 

Hiram men's soccer continues conference play with Wabash this Saturday at 12 p.m. in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
