HIRAM, Ohio - January 25, 2023 - Hiram battled hard in a loss to Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday at Price Gymnasium: 25-16, 25-16, 25-21.

The Terriers played well on the defensive end and tallied more blocks than their opposition (8-3), with Garrett Scheidegger leading the way with 5 total blocks. Cullen Sivak had a team-high 5 kills after entering play with 2 kills on the young season. Connor Tilton had 10 digs to lead all players.

Hiram found momentum at times throughout the match, cutting the deficit to 10-7 in the first set, 10-9 in the second set and 19-16 in the third set. The Yellow Jackets would find their groove late in each of the sets to carve out the victory and improve their record to 6-0.

Hiram had a balanced attack, with four different players recording at least 3 kills: Sivak (5), Jackson Deubner (4), Scheidegger (3) and Kyle Martini (3). Matthew Albano recorded 13 assists and the team's lone service ace.

The Terriers will stay home and take on Mount Aloysius to begin AMCC play on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
