HIRAM, Ohio – April 2, 2022 – Hiram baseball dropped a pair of North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) games to Kenyon on Saturday afternoon losing 17-0 and 5-0.
GAME 1: Kenyon 17, Hiram 0
Kenyon opened the game with six runs scored in the top of the first inning.
The Lords continued bringing runs across the plate in the next two innings, scoring four more in the second and third innings.
With the score 10-0, the visitors scored four runs in the fourth inning, eventually going on to win 17-0 in seven innings due to a run rule.

Curtis Caithaml,
Chaisson Marrs and
Kyle Adams had the four hits for the Terriers.
Stephen Javorek took the loss for Hiram falling to 2-2 on the year.
Jack Longar and
Austin Smith allowed no runs in their appearances for Hiram.
Alex Gow had the win for Kenyon going six innings with 14 strikeouts.
GAME 2: Kenyon 5, Hiram 0
Frank Lynch and
Jack Conley started game two for their respective sides allowing no runs in the first inning.
Drew Robinson reached on a fielder's choice for the Lords allowing a run to score for Kenyon giving them the early 1-0 advantage. Robinson went on to steal second, getting Luke Meister to score who was on third base.
Now leading 2-0, Meister delivered with a solo home run, bolstering the Lords lead to 3-0 in the fourth frame.
Austin Hoskins scored on a fielding error in the fifth inning, giving the Lords another insurance run at 4-0.
Closing out the scoring for Kenyon was Nate Rosen hitting an RBI single making it 5-0.
Hiram collected eight hits in the second game with three coming off the bat of
Kyle Adams.
Conley pitched six innings with two strikeouts in the longest start of his young career.
Jacob Kocuba came in for relief for the Terriers pitching the final three innings getting one punch out.
With the two losses, Hiram 7-9 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
The Terriers next hit the diamond on Wednesday, April 6 for another NCAC doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. vs. Wooster.
