SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – September 25, 2021 – Hiram men's soccer dropped their opening North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) match at Wittenberg by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.
Jason Martinez scored his second goal of the year in the 43
rd minute.
Cole Koch picked up the assist registering his first point of the season.
Eli Esterline evened the game at one with his goal in the 73
rd minute.
With just over two minutes left in the match, Wittenberg took the lead at 2-1 with Kees Ciric scoring.
Along with his goal, Martinez had four shots.
Albert Gallegos had the second most with two for the Terriers.

Shelby Edwards had five saves for the match.
The Tigers closed out the match with 18 shots with Hiram having nine.
With the loss Hiram falls to 2-5-2 on the year and 0-1 in NCAC play. The Terriers next hit the field on Saturday, October 2 at Wabash with a match set for 1 p.m.
