WOOSTER, Ohio - April 3, 2021 – Hiram College men's lacrosse fell to The College of Wooster Fighting Scots, 26-2, on Saturday at Papp Stadium.
The Fighting Scots got the scoring started quickly with Ted Well's goal with 13:48 to play in the first, and added eight more in the quarter and seven in the second to take a 16-0, halftime lead.
Wooster extended their lead to 20-0 on Grant Sorensen's goal in the third, before
Dom Medina got the Terriers on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal, his fifth goal of the year.
Ethan Mayer notched the Terriers' second goal of the day of an assist from
Brett Johnson, before the Fighting Scots wrapped up the 26-2 victory.
With the loss, Hiram falls to 1-3 (0-2 NCAC), while the Fighting Scots move to 2-1 (2-0 NCAC) with the win.
Medina and Mayer led the Terriers with a goal apiece, while Johnson tallied a team-high five shots. Defensively, Medina also led the Terriers with four ground balls, while
Brendan Roddy added three and a team-high two caused turnovers.
The Terriers will look to bounce back when they host the Kenyon College Lords on Saturday, April 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Charles A. Henry Field.
