Hiram Football to Host Breast Cancer Awareness Game on Oct. 16

10/11/2021 4:00:00 PM

HIRAM, Ohio - October 11, 2021 Hiram College football will host their annual Breast Cancer Awareness game when the Terriers take on the Allegheny College Gators on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Charles A. Henry Field.

The Terriers, working with the Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio, hope to raise both awareness and money to fight breast cancer.

"I couldn't be more proud to work with the Northeast Ohio chapter of the Susan G. Komen organization for this Saturdays game to raise awareness about Breast Cancer," Head Football Coach Jack Mrozinski said. "I know there are thousands of people, including myself, who are directly or indirectly impacted by this disease, and I hope this gets us one step closer to finding a cure to save more lives."

Hiram will have an information table at Saturday's game, and will also sell both T-shirts and hats, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to Susan G. Komen and in turn directly to research and people in need.

Susan G. Komen is the only organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this disease.

The Terriers 1-3 (0-3 NCAC) host Allegheny College 1-4 (0-4 NCAC) on Saturday, Oct. 16 at Charles A. Henry Field, with kickoff slated for 1:00 p.m.
