Terriers Fall To PAC Foe Allegheny

Hiram Faces Gators In Tightly-Contested Battle

Meadville, PA – November 7, 2026 - The Hiram Terrier football team traveled to Meadville, PA Saturday afternoon, for a PAC matchup with the Gators of Allegheny College. The Terriers would fight hard against the Gators in their 6th PAC matchup of the year, but would fall to the host school with a score of 35-13.

The Terriers would open up the first quarter strong, starting the game out with the ball, where they would score a touchdown on a long 8-play drive, capped off with quarterback Sean Tejeda finding Devin Tufts for a 15-yard score to give Hiram a 7-0 lead. The Gators responded quickly with a quick touchdown to tie the game back at 7-7.  Both teams would then fail to score any points on their next drive, where the score would remain 7-7 at the end of the first.

Hiram would open up the second quarter similar to the first, where they would take their first drive in the second and score a touchdown, with Tejeda finding Tufts once again, this time for a 20-yard score to give the Terriers the 13-7 lead. The Terrier defense would then show out, forcing two turnover on downs on back-to-back possessions, as well as forcing a punt to keep the Terrier lead at 13-7 heading into the half.

In the third, Allegheny would score to open up the half, taking a narrow lead of 14-13 in the middle of the third. The Terriers would fight hard on defense, including forcing a huge fumble in the third with Darius Cofield-Washington forcing the fumble and Kendal Owens recovering the fumble. Allegheny would then add a touchdown late in the third, giving them the 21-13 lead.

In the fourth, the Gators would add another touchdown, extending their lead to 28-13. The Terrier offense would then try to mount a comeback against the Gators, but would unfortunately come up short in their endeavors. The Gators would add another score late, giving them the 35-13 lead, which would end up being the final of the game.

Leading the passing category was Sean Tejeda, who finished 28/43 with 363 yards and 2 passing touchdowns. This marks an outstanding day for the senior in one of the highest passing games of his career. Tejeda would also lead the rushing category, with 7 rushes for 26 yards. Leading the receiving category was Devin Tufts, who would have 7 catches for 156 yards and 2 TD's in back-to-back games with over 150 receiving yards for Tufts.
