STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - January 18, 2020- The Hiram College women's swimming and diving team collected a 93-47 victory over Washington & Jefferson, Saturday afternoon.
On the women's side, sophomore Carlee Lisser led the way recording two first-place times in the 200-yard freestyle (2:12.13) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:51.43).
Senior Jenna Nelson had a pair of top place finishes. Nelson clocked in a first-place time of 2:37.16 in the 200-yard breaststroke and a second-place time of 2:24.95 in 200-yard IM.
Junior Angie Ross earned first-place in the 200-yard backstroke (2:28.85) and a personal best time in the 200-yard IM in 2:42.05.
Senior Jill Schmidt shaved 38 seconds off of her 1000-yard freestyle time coming in second place (14:29.21).
Junior Nicki Prentler recorded her fastest time of the season in the 200-yard free (2:43.10) and a personal record in the 200-yard freestyle (2:43.10) and the 200-yard breaststroke in 3:23.75.
Freshman Carrie Robinson posted a season-best peformance in the 50-yard freestyle finishing in a time of 33.53.
On the men's side, sophomore Devin Gear recorded a personal best in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.49 and established a personal best in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:52.05.
The men fell to Washington & Jefferson 97-11 and the women fell to Franciscan 97-74.
The Terriers will return to the pool on Saturday, Jan.25 when they travel to Pittsburgh, Pa. to take on Bethany and Chatham.
