Box Score Aug. 30 – ALBION, Mich.- The Hiram College women's soccer team fell 3-1 in their season-opening game against Albion, Friday night.
Hannah Ward was the first of both sides to get a shot off in the first four minutes of the game.
From there, each side swapped shots but the two sides played to a scoring stalemate for over 30 minutes.
In the 32nd minute of play, the Britons broke the silence with a goal from Rayna Edwards.
In the second half, Albion added to their lead with two additional goals in the 64th and 65th minute, respectively.

The Britons managed three more shots, but the late minute attempts were unsuccessful, securing the 3-1 win.
Hiram will be back in action on Sunday, September 1 as the team hits the road again to compete against Alma College. The matchup is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
