Oct.16-HIRAM, Ohio- The Hiram College men's soccer team was defeated by Wooster on Wednesday night by a 1-0 score.
Hiram was off to a quick start, tallying the first shot of the game from freshman
Julian Diaz in the sixth minute of play.
Wooster responded with a pair of shots with one hitting the back of the net off the foot of Andreas Xenofontos (1-0).
In the 27th minute,
Saint Roger Bountsebe looked to capitalize off a goalie error but a team save would keep the Terriers scoreless.
At the half, Hiram led the way in shots with six and four corner kicks.
Although the Terriers registered an additional four shots in the second half, none were able to find their way past the Fighting Scots' net, securing the win for the visitors.
Seven Terriers tallied a shot in the matchup, with two players securing a multi-shot game. Sophomore
Isaac Opoku posted three shots while Bountsebe added two.
The Terriers will hit the road on Saturday, Oct.19 when they head to Oberlin. The conference matchup with the Yeomen is set for 7:00 pm.
