Box Score GREENCASTLE, Ind. – October 12, 2019 – Hiram Terriers women's soccer fell in a North Coast Athletic Conference matchup against the DePauw University Tigers, 1-0, on Saturday at Reavis Stadium.
Ally Green and the Terriers' defense kept the Tigers off the scoreboard early with a couple saves, but in the 35th minute, Alex Berkley found the back of the net to give DePauw a 1-0 lead.
Hiram kept the Tigers off the scoreboard the rest of the half and headed into halftime down a score.
In the second half, neither team could get much going offensively, and while the Terriers had a couple late shots, both were saved by Reanna Stiehler as DePauw held on for the 1-0 victory.
Hiram falls to 3-10 (0-2 NCAC) with the loss, while DePauw moves to 7-5-1 (2-0-1 NCAC) with the win.
Jaycee Ward and Val Lauderback each recorded two shots to lead the way for the Terriers, while Green notched seven saves to up her season total to 114, just 11 short of her career high.
The Terriers return home to take on the College of Wooster on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in another NCAC matchup at Charles A. Henry Field at 7:30 p.m.
