Jan.20- WASHINGTON, PA.- The Hiram College women's swimming and diving team took part in a tri-meet, beating Franciscan (61-50) but falling to Washington and Jefferson 62-35, Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Nicki Prentler tallied the first Terrier victory of the afternoon, clocking in at 2:57.32 in the 200-yard backstroke.
Prentler also helped Hiram secure a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay coming in at 2:03.26. The relay included junior Sierra Daniels, sophomore Kimmy Morrison, and sophomore Jenna Nelson.
Nelson captured two solo second-place finishes in the 200-yard IM (2:33.24), and breaststroke (2:42.59).
The 200-yard medley relay claimed points for the Terriers with a second-place time of 2:09.15. The relay featured freshman Mallory Best, Nelson, Morrison, and Daniels.
The Terriers will hit the pool again on Saturday, January 27 as they take on Wittenberg in a dual meet. The matchup is scheduled for a 1:00 pm start.
