HIRAM, Ohio -- The Hiram College women's swimming & diving team came up on the short end of a 137-57 meet against Wittenberg on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers see their record drop to 2-8 on the season, while the Tigers improve to 5-2.
Sophomore Jenni Heid (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) led Hiram with a pair of second place finishes.
She touched second in the 50-meter freestyle in 30.90 seconds and was also second in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:10.70.
Senior Rachel Patten (Castalia, Ohio/Margaretta) recorded a third place finish in the 400-meter I.M. in 5:53.63.
The 200-meter medley relay team of senior Marian Bade (Macungie, Pa./The Perkiomen School), junior Meredith Fitschen-Brown (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing), Heid and Patten touched third in 2:24.68.
Junior Emily Kelly (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) finished fourth in the 100-meter butterfly and 200-meter freestyle in 1:29.11 and 2:34.55, respectively.
The Terriers will swim next on January 22 as they host crosstown rival John Carroll at 6 p.m.
