HIRAM, Ohio -- In their final home meet of the season, the Hiram College men's swimming & diving team came up on the short end to John Carroll by a 140-30 score on Friday evening.
The Terriers are now 0-9 on the season, while the Blue Streaks improve to 4-3.
Hiram honored senior Danny Essel (Euclid, Ohio/Euclid) for his hard work and dedication to the program as a part of Senior Night festivities.
Essel ended his Hiram home career in style, winning the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:13.81. He also recorded a third place finish in the 400-meter I.M., finishing with a time of 5:28.88.
Junior Jamal Hill (Inglewood, Calif./Juniperro Serra) was fourth in the 50-meter freestyle in 27.42 seconds.
Freshman Reeve Bowling (Minneapolis, Minn./Thomas Jefferson) also recorded a fourth place finish, touching in 1:02.99 in the 100-meter freestyle.
The Terriers will compete in their final meet before the NCAC Championships on Saturday at Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) at 1 p.m.
