HIRAM, Ohio -- The Hiram College women's swimming & diving team fell to crosstown rival John Carroll 142-46 in their final home meet of the season.
The Terriers are now 2-9 on the season, while the Blue Streaks improve to 5-2.
Hiram honored its two seniors, Marian Bade (Macungie, Pa./The Perkiomen School) and Rachel Patten (Castalia, Ohio/Margaretta) during the meet for their contributions to the program.
Patten won two freestyle events in her final home meet. She won the 400-meter freestyle in 5:02.82 and captured the 800-meter freestyle, touching in 10:22.99.
Sophomore Jenni Heid (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) was second in the 50-meter freestyle in 30.67 seconds and was third in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:10.22.
Junior Emily Kelly was fourth in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:33.81 and junior Meredith Fitschen-Brown (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) touched fourth in the 400-meter I.M. in 5:59.59.
Hiram will compete again on Saturday. The Terriers will face Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) and Franciscan at 1 p.m.
