DELAWARE, Ohio -- Junior Allie Glatt (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) broke the single season points record and tied the single season assists record, as the Hiram College women's soccer team scored four times in the second half, en route to a 4-2 win at Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday.
The Terriers conclude the 2015 season with a 6-12-0 overall record and a 2-6-0 mark in NCAC play, while the Battling Bishops end the season at 1-15-1, 0-8-0. The two conference wins for Hiram are the most in single season program history.
The victory was also the first time Hiram has won at Ohio Wesleyan in program history.
Glatt registered a goal and also finished with two assists to give her 31 points on the season, bettering the previous record of 29 set by Claire Conner in 2007. In addition, Glatt's 12 goals this season are second most all-time and her seven assists are tied for most all-time with two others.
OWU scored the lone goal of the first half in the 38th minute.
Hiram would get on the board at the 52:08 mark when Glatt found junior Katelyn Mauch (Parma, Ohio/Normandy), who beat the keeper.
The Terriers jumped in front at the 63:31 mark on a goal by junior Alison Cowell (Bridgeton, Mo./Duchanse). Senior Caitlin Elkins (Akron, Ohio/Green) and junior Abbey Rowe (Mt. Orab, Ohio/Lynchburg) assisted on the play.
The Battling Bishops would knot the score at 2-2 at the 80:48 mark.
But less than two minutes later, Glatt registered her 12th goal of the year which broke the points record and put Hiram in front 3-2.
Mauch would add an insurance goal at the 88:02 mark, with Glatt recording her record tying assist.
Senior Kailie Reed (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) made three saves in one half of action and junior Alina Mille (Medina, Ohio/Medina) made eight stops.
Hiram held a 24-21 edge in shots and a slim 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
The Terriers finished the season with 37 goals, which was just one shy of the team record of 38 set in 2013. In addition, Hiram had 25 assists, which was just three short of the record of 28 also set in 2013.
Hiram's 10 conference goals also set a single season program record.
