HIRAM, Ohio -- The Hiram College women's swimming & diving team dropped a NCAC meet to Oberlin by a 182-32 score on Friday evening.
The Terriers are now 0-2 on the season and 0-1 in conference action, while the Yeowomen are 2-0, 1-0.
Senior Rachel Patten (Castalia, Ohio/Margaretta) paced Hiram with a second place finish in the 400-meter I.M. with a time of 5:54.73. She also touched third in the 400-meter freestyle in 5:10.75.
Junior Meredith Fitschen-Brown (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) was second in the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:29.50 and was third in the 100-meter backstroke in 1:20.32.
Junior Emily Kelly (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) finished third in the 800-meter freestyle in 11:05.60 and sophomore Jenni Heid (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) was thid in the 50-meter freestyle in 30.65 seconds.
Hiram will compete again on November 6 as they host Division II foes Malone and Ursuline at 6 p.m.
