Women's Soccer drops NCAC road contest at DePauw (Ind.)

GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The Hiram College women's soccer team fell to conference foe DePauw (Ind.) by a 3-0 score on Saturday afternoon.

The Terriers fall to 4-9-0 on the season and 0-3-0 in conference play, while the Tigers improve to 6-5-1 and are a perfect 3-0-0 in the NCAC.

The Tigers struck for a goal in the 12th minute and added another in the 41st, to build a 2-0 lead at the break.

DePauw would add an unassisted goal late in the match to close out the 3-0 victory.

Junior Kaitlin Zemanski (Munroe Falls, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) led Hiram on offense with three shots, one of which was on goal. Junior Allie Glatt (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) fired two shots in the contest, with two being on goal.

Senior Kailie Reed (Wadsworth, Ohio) made three saves in goal in the first half and sophomore Alina Mille (Medina, Ohio) made one stop in the second half.

The Tigers had a 14-7 edge in shots and held a 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Hiram will play next on Tuesday, when it hosts Kenyon in a conference showdown that is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
