GREENVILLE, PA -- The Hiram College women's soccer team scored three second half goals to record a 3-1 win at Thiel (Pa.) on Wednesday evening.
The Terriers are now 2-2-0 on the season, while the Tomcats fall to 0-4-0.
Trailing 1-0 at the half, senior Kelsey Martin (Austintown/Fitch) found the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1 in the 59th minute.
Sophomore Emily Syrjala (Seattle, Wash./Seattle Prep) put the Terriers on top with her first career goal.
Sophomore Bailey Norton (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) and sophomore Allie Glatt (Cincinnati/Salem) both picked up the assists on the play.
Sophomore Abbey Rowe (Mt. Orab/Lynchburg-Clay) put the game away with her third goal of the season in the 86th minute.
Glatt also has a scoring opportunity in the first half, but her shot hit the crossbar.
Junior goalkeeper Kailie Reed (Wadsworth) made five saves in the match to pick up her second win of the season.
Hiram outshot Thiel 22-13, including a 14-6 edge in shots on goal.
The Terriers also took six corner kicks in the match, compated to two for the Tomcats.
Hiram will play next on Saturday, when it travels to take on Hilbert (N.Y.) for a 1 p.m. match.
