Lawson-West spearheaded his team in the 157-lb weight class, beating OWU's Skyler Cornell by technical fall (20-4) to carve out a 14-5 lead in the early stages. The senior from Miamisburg, OH had sat out the 2023-24 season due to injury and has since regained his impressive form in his final collegiate season with the Terriers.
