Chunat won a team-high three bouts this past Sunday at the Alma Open, advancing to the semifinals in her bracket and eventually finishing in third place. She beat Wisconsin-Oshkosh's Nellie Stagg by fall (0:56) and lost to Alexis Lazar by technical fall (10-0), but bounced back and finished with wins over Siena Heights' Alexus Shaneyfelt (TF 10-0) and Alma's MaKayla Gowell (fall, 0:51).
