Byard nearly found her way to the top of the leaderboard in the 160-lb bracket at the AMCC Championships this past Saturday, beating Alfred State's Allison Strausbaugh by fall (1:49) and her teammate, Cicely Cullins, by fall (0:56). A loss to Elmira's Talia Robles (fall, 2:45) proved to be the final result, but still gave Byard a second-place finish in one of the larger brackets of the event. It marks the second straight season in which Byard has earned All-AMCC honors, making her the first in program history to achieve the feat.
